Hive to Honey — discovery session — with Allison Wickham
Join us for a Hive to Honey Discovery Session with beekeeper Allison Wickham and learn the basics of beekeeping and why pollinators matter!
Spend some time with our local professional beekeeper to learn the basics of honey bee management and the importance of pollinators in our daily lives. Discover how honey is produced and discus the terroir of honeys around the world. Finish the experience off with some time inside an active beehive (suits provided!) and taste honey made by our own Oakencroft Bees!
After the workshop join us back at our inviting Tasting Room for a Honey and Elderflower wine spritz or N/A beverage.
Cost of the workshop is $75 and is weather permitting. Participants with a known insect sting allergy should not participate.
By purchasing a ticket to this experience, you recognize that we will be on a working farm and that you will be in a natural environment where you may encounter typical things that exist in nature such as: snakes, ticks, wildlife, tall grasses, flying insects, bees, and other natural creatures.
