WHAT TO EXPECT
Come warm up and learn Ommi Hadia’s authentic home-style Palestinian comfort food recipes! We’ll start with tea and coffee, then walk you through how to make stuffed cabbage rolls (malfouf), grape leaves (diwali), and cookies (maamoul). Our hands-on instruction will be followed by lunch and another tea + coffee serving with dessert. Guests can expect to take home a serving of their creations as well as a small gift!
ABOUT THE DISHES
>> Malfouf: often made in the winter with the winter cabbage harvest, malfouf literally translates to “rolled.”
>> Diwali : most special events will have a platter of diwali at them. You might know them simply as “grape leaves.”
>> Maamoul: also a special event dish, maamoul is a cookie that can be made with a date or walnut filling.
***all dishes will be prepared and served with vegetarian options
