8 wines plus charcuterie, cheese, and bread.
The Rhône Valley is one of France’s great wine regions, stretching from the steep hillsides of the Northern Rhône to the warmer, Mediterranean-influenced vineyards of the south.
In this Pane e Vino Academy class, we’ll taste our way through the Rhône, exploring the major grapes, appellations, and styles that define the region. We’ll look at the dramatic differences between the Northern and Southern Rhône and taste wines that illustrate those differences—from Syrah and the white varieties of the north to the Grenache-based blends of the south.
Along the way, we’ll discuss the geography of the valley, important appellations and producers, how the wines are made, and what to look for when buying and drinking Rhône wines.
The class will include 8 wines selected to provide a broad look at the region and its most important styles, accompanied by charcuterie, cheese, and bread.
Coming in September 2027: Pane e Vino in the Rhône Valley
This class will also serve as the first announcement of our September 2027 Rhône Valley wine tour. Full itinerary and pricing will be announced later, and class guests will have the first opportunity to register for priority access when reservations open.
