This whiskey snobs batch will focus on the Buffalo Trace mash bills that make some of the most popular bourbons on the market. We will compare bourbons from Buffalo Trace’s three distinct mash bills:
🥃 Mash Bill #1 (Low-Rye) – A head-to-head tasting of Benchmark and Eagle Rare, showcasing how aging and selection influence the flavors of this classic recipe.
🥃 Mash Bill #2 (High-Rye) – A comparison between Ancient Age and Blanton’s Single Barrel, highlighting the bolder notes of this high(er)-rye mash bill.
🥃 Wheated Mash Bill – A tasting of Weller Special Reserve and Weller Antique 107, demonstrating the smooth, sweet qualities of wheat in place of rye.
