Blending is often misunderstood and quietly responsible for some of the world’s greatest whiskeys. This masterclass demystifies the practice through history, theory and hands-on experience, led by Master Blender, Lauren Patz.
In our final masterclass of the 2026 curriculum, guests will learn about individual bourbon and rye components before tasting finished blends gaining insight into balance, structure and intention. The session covers the history of blending, why it exists, and what blending actually means in modern American whiskey. A guided blending workshop invites participants to think like a blender, evaluating components and understanding how small changes create dramatic results.
