At Robert Young Estate Winery, the day builds toward a place most guests never see: Gertrude's Grove, tucked into a secluded rise above the vineyards. The journey begins with Robert Young II guiding you through the estate by tractor, sharing the history behind the vineyards his family has farmed since 1858. From there, Winemaker Matt Michael brings you into the cellar for a side-by-side barrel tasting, walking through how oak and time shape each vintage, while scenic stops along the estate pour limited-production and reserve wines. At the Grove, enjoy a gourmet style box lunch unfolds accompanied by reserve wines, and the afternoon closes with a tasting of library wines drawn from the family cellar.
