Grace Fae & the Grandbirds is a fabulous jazz quintet that specializes in classic tunes from the 1920s to the 1940s, transporting you to a bygone era of glamour and rhythm. Grace has a warm legitimate sound like Peggy Lee and Ella Fitzgerald. She’s backed by beloved local musicians on drums, upright bass, piano, saxophone & clarinet. You’ll hear your favorite big band tunes by Cole Porter, the Gershwin brothers, Irving Berlin, and Duke Ellington in new and energizing interpretations, with some French, Spanish, and Italian tunes. Dancing highly encouraged! @thegrandbirds
Dress in your finest vintage 1930s to 1940s Hollywood style for a night of big band jazz from the swing era! Not mandatory but encouraged to really set the scene and take you back in time.
