Food Experience: Introduction to Fermentation - 6 Course Dinner & Class!
We have a fabulous series of 3 very special Food Experiences at Suis Generis this summer! Similar to the experiences at the Tiki Food Lab, the evening includes a class on the topic of the night, followed by a six course tasting menu, curated by our Executive Chef, Ernie Foundas.
Fermentation doesn't have to be scary! Learn some basic and more advanced methods to ferment, preserve, and transform ingredients. This is the First in our 3 part Summer Series - an introduction to fermentation. This is a GREAT class for anybody who wants to jump into the world of pro-biotic rich fermented foods that you can easily make at home. Learn the differences between lacto ferments, amino ferments, and how to know if your ferment is working. We will also discuss how to incorporate fermented goodies into your daily cooking to access umami and complexity of flavors.
Note: The "deposit" you see when you book is your total cost for the class & 6 course dinner. Beverages and tip are not included in the base price.
