Celebrate winter together with a dedicated Family Day Open Steam at The Great Northern’s Sauna Village. This relaxed, kid-friendly session invites families to experience the warmth, connection, and restorative rhythm of Nordic sauna culture.
Guests can enjoy rotating sauna sessions hosted by Superior Saunas and regional partners, communal lounge areas, s'mores fire-side, and easy access to changing zones for a smooth, comfortable flow between heat and rest.
Expect gentle heat, a welcoming environment, and plenty of space for families exploring sauna traditions together.

Location: The Great Northern Sauna Village at Riverplace Courtyard
To ensure safety, all minors in attendance must be under active adult supervision and have an individual waiver signed by a guardian. Attendees under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
What to bring:
Please bring a towel, sandals or slip‑on footwear, and a robe or warm layers for moving between sauna and outdoor spaces. A clearly marked water bottle is encouraged. Bathing suits are required. Arriving with your suit on under layers is recommended.
Additional notes:
* On average, a person may lose up to 16 ounces of water during a one‑hour sauna session. Please avoid alcohol consumption prior to arrival.
* Lockers are available on site, and included in ticket cost (per paid ticket holder).
* Snow angels and cold exposure methods will be weather dependent. If above freezing temperatures, cold water buckets and rinsing stations will be available.
