Vine & Grind Coffee & Wine Tasting Experience
An Exploration of Flavor, Terroir, and the Art of the Pour
This immersive two-hour experience hosted by Teneral Cellars founder Jill Osur and Donovan Albert, owner of Anchor & Tree, invites guests to explore wine and coffee side by side—two of the world’s most nuanced, expressive beverages—through a guided tasting that is equal parts educational, engaging, and enjoyable. Participants will be led through a structured yet approachable sensory journey, learning how professional tasters evaluate aroma, acidity, body, balance, and finish across both wine and coffee. While one is fermented and the other roasted, guests quickly discover how remarkably similar the tasting disciplines truly are.
Throughout the experience, guests will:
Taste a curated selection of wines and coffees, thoughtfully chosen to highlight contrast and connection
Learn how terroir, climate, and craftsmanship influence flavor from vine and bean
Practice proper tasting techniques, including smelling, sipping, and identifying key flavor notes
Compare mouthfeel, structure, and aftertaste in a playful, interactive format
Build a shared vocabulary for describing what they taste—without intimidation or pretense
The tone is intentionally light and welcoming. Guests are encouraged to trust their senses, ask questions, and enjoy a few “aha” moments along the way. There are no wrong answers—only discoveries.
