The Mad Hatter was established in 1999. We are an award winning Tea House, Retail Store, and Event Establishment. We are located on the Rum River in Anoka, MN in the Historic Woodbury House built in 1857.

We continue to serve our Award Winning High Tea Experiences for the 26th year! We offer our High Tea Experiences for adults & children. We often refer to our High Tea as "Queen of Hearts" High Tea & "Cheshire" Children's Tea for ages 10 & under. PLEASE NOTE; all tickets purchased for our High Tea Experiences or Events are NON REFUNDABLE tickets. Our newest addition, The Rabbit Hole Tea Cafe opened in the summer 2025, exclusive for our walk in guests without reservations. The Cafe is a fast casual experience. You order at the counter, without Servers. There is limited seating in the fall & winter months with 1st come seating. During the summer months we will have outside patio seating for the Cafe. We also continue to hold Special Events, Tea Party Catering, Tea Parties to Go for any size group, even a party of one!
