The Pheasant Presents: A #DeepDive Into The World Of Grower Champagne!
Join us Saturday March 19, 2022 for a tasting and lesson on the exciting world of champagne, more specifically "Grower Champagne!" Taste and discuss 5 - 6 different champagnes produced from different grape varietals in several different styles from several different independent producers. During this class, participants will taste and discuss several different styles of champagne. Light snacks included. Guests will be able to purchase bottles after the class as well.
What is Grower Champagne you ask?
Grower Champagne is sparkling wine crafted by independent grape growers and their families in champagne. It embodies those who grow grapes in their own vineyards and produce cuvées (aka sparkling wine blends) that reflect their distinct vineyards and style.
Do you like the unique character of farm fresh eggs or single origin coffee and chocolate? Well, Grower Champagne is similar in that it rarely tastes the same every year and each producer is different. Of course, this is part of what makes it so compelling.
FUN FACT: Only 5% of the Champagne imported into the USA is Grower Champagne.
