TALKING FOOD AT 1900 is a series at 1900 aimed to engage, challenge, and educate on a variety of topics in the food world, hosted by the 1900 Building and food writer and photographer, Bonjwing Lee.

Gabrielle Hamilton is the chef/owner of PRUNE restaurant, which she opened in New York City’s East Village in October 1999. PRUNE has been recognized in all major press, both nationally and internationally. She is the author of the New York Times bestseller Blood, Bones & Butter: The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef, which has been published in six languages.
Chef Linda Duerr was tapped to become Executive Chef at The Restaurant at 1900 in 2017. Prior to this, she has worked for a number of esteemed KC institutions such as Lidia's, the beloved (but now shuttered) Frondizi's, JJ's, and The River Club. She has been creating memorable dishes for her followers all along the way, and we are proud to have her at the helm of the 1900 kitchen.
