Join us on Saturdays, September 28 through October 26, 2024 for The Ploughman's Lunch Series with Troddenvale at Oakley Farm. Inspired by the harvest season, The Ploughman's Lunch Series is a culinary experience embracing the time-honored tradition of breaking bread together, sharing in the bounty of autumn under the hundred-year old oaks on the farm.
On Saturday, October 26, the 2 - 3 hour experience will consist of a tour of Troddenvale's apple orchard and cider production space, followed by lunch and cider tasting. The lunch will consist of a seated, multi-course pairing lunch with chef Sarah Rennie of Two Fire Table.
About Two-Fire Table:
"A Southern Appalachian native, Sarah Rennie began her love of cooking with fire in a wood-fired bakery in Asheville, NC. It was there that she learned the importance of seasonal cooking and supporting local farms.
After working for many great chefs in the area, she moved to Richmond, VA to manage three time James Beard nominated, Sub Rosa Bakery. Additionally in an effort to enrich her knowledge and skills, Sarah spent time traveling in the American West and in South America to study foods and cultures that surround open fire cooking."
