Chris Curtin, European Certified Master Chef and Chocolatier will join Lynn Finkbiner, Turks Head's Director of Wine Education and Experiences for 2 hour immersive wine and curated chocolate tasting complete with stories of travel and chocolate making.
Chris Curtin is the master chef and chocolatier behind Éclat Chocolate which he founded
in West Chester, PA in 2004. In 1994, he lived as a pâtissier at La Compagnons du Devoir, the
premier guild for artisan craftsmen in France, and subsequently became the first American to
earn the title of “Konditormeister,” or Master Pastry Chef and Chocolatier, in Cologne, Germany
in 1996. He then honed his skills under some of the world’s top chocolate makers and pastry
chefs across Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Japan. Ten years later, he
returned to the U.S. and founded Éclat Chocolate where his globally inspired craftsmanship
rivals that of the Old World’s most storied chocolate houses. Éclat has gone on to receive great
acclaim in the subsequent years, celebrity chef partnerships with the likes of Anthony Bourdain
and Eric Ripert and was recognized as having the “Best Chocolate in America” by Bon Appétit
alongside rave reviews from The New York Times, Vogue, Food & Wine and Art Culinaire.
All chocolates are nut free, but produced in a facility that processes other products containing nuts.
