Industry Chat is a curated conversation series designed to connect industry leaders, creatives, and innovators through candid discussions surrounding career growth, creativity, hospitality, nightlife, and leadership.
Moderated by our Events Director, Milena, Industry Chat was created with the goal of inspiring meaningful dialogue, sharing real-world experiences, and building a space where guests leave with fresh perspectives, valuable connections, and the motivation to elevate both their work and the communities they influence.
The evening will begin with one hour of networking in an intimate setting designed for genuine conversations and relationship building. Guests will receive a complimentary sponsored welcome beverage upon arrival, and professional headshots will be available throughout the networking portion of the evening.
Attendance will be intentionally limited.
Following networking, guests will transition into a moderated panel discussion featuring:
• Dr. Fatema Issa — Director of Operations
Discussing her transition into the hospitality industry with a PhD background from a completely different field, and how unconventional paths can become strengths in leadership and operations.
• Connor Keenan — DC Creative & DJ Buyer
Sharing insights on creativity, staying culturally relevant, understanding younger audiences, and evolving alongside trends while maintaining authenticity.
• Ebb King — DJ & Creative
Speaking about paving the way as a female DJ, navigating challenges within the industry, and building a respected creative identity within nightlife culture.
Industry Chat is intended to become an ongoing platform spotlighting the voices, experiences, and creative forces shaping hospitality, nightlife, and cultural communities throughout Washington, DC, and beyond.
