Growing up I always looked forward to the magic of NYC in December. I am so happy to be going back again this December. I have planned a special nostalgic trip. Join me as we explore the Italian restaurants of Lower Manhattan. Each night we will meet, indulge and learn as we feast on some of New York's best Italian food. During dinner I will teach about 10 wines each night. I will talk about the wine making methods, varieties used and market positions. We will stay in the heart of SoHo at Mercer Place hotel.
December 4th
7pm Blind Tasting Dinner- I will teach how to detect grapes used, vintage, place of origin and winemaking methods.
December 5th
7pm Understanding Market Position- We will discuss and Tate 10 wines from mid-tier to benchmark collectibles. I will discuss the markers from quality from the vineyard to bottling.
December 6th
7pm Pizza Party- 10 wines the represent celebration, from bubbles to 100 point wines. We are focused on celebrating great wines with great stories.
December 7th
12pm Farewell lunch- 10 Wines from 10 regions that have adored over the years. I love tasting certain wines that take me to times in my life as well as the exact place where they are produced. This dinner is a tour of my favorite 10 regions on earth.
