Gin Dinner No. 4
We are honored to welcome the outstanding team from Present Tense in Nashville for the fourth edition of our Gin Dinner Series of the year on November 6th! Present Tense is an izakaya-style restaurant that has been wowing Wedgewood Houston for years. Our Present Tense partners will also be serving their new Pure Land Sake which debuted earlier this year. Adding to the fun, our inspiring friend Roy Milner, formerly of Blackberry Farm Brewery, will bring tastes of his newest bourbon, the brand new Night Hawk Whiskey. In addition, Hunter Lewis of Food and Wine will visit us for the first time to make sure all the food and drinks are up to the appropriate standard! Last but not least, our very own local buddies Chicory Market will be ably provisioning us from their amazing array of MS producers. This will be a true dream team production which we are very proud to present to our cherished Oxford and Mississippi communities (people from out of town most definitely welcome as well).
The evening will begin with a welcome cocktail hour. Guests will be seated at 7 o’clock for a four-course presentation paired with unique gin cocktails by the Wonderbird team.
Course 1:

Grilled Seaweed Sourdough Panzanella

Local Delta Rice, Pure Land Sake, Smoked Scallop & Roasted Chicken Dashi, Scallop, Shrimp, Chicken, Clams or Mussels, Ginger Scallion Sauce, Very Garlicky Mayo

Dry Aged Albacore or Tuna Loin
Lemon Miso Butter, Shiro Dashi Au Poivre, Confit Potatoes, French Salad, Bonito Mayo

Hojicha Tiramisu
Koji Sweetened Mascarpone, Whipped Hojicha, White Sesame Cream, Cocoa Powder, Hojicha Soaked Lady Fingers
