We just hosted our “Concerto Evolution” event this past weekend, and it was a huge success!
We’d like to host another one on Saturday, January 10th. The previous session sold out in just 24 hours, so if you’d like to attend, book quickly! Below is a description of the event:
The best way to understand an estate is to try their top wine from multiple different vintages. We’re pleased to announce that on Saturday January 10th, at 11am in the cru lounge, Adam Fizyta, our Owner and Winemaker, will lead a presentation of the past five vintages of Concerto.
Adam will take you on a journey to explore the 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 (barrel sample) where you will get a chance to geek out, ask questions, and experience vintage variation firsthand – they are all mind-blowingly different from one another.
As the story of Catoctin Breeze continues to evolve, so do the wines. You’ll be able to taste the stylistic changes that have occurred over the past five vintages, where the farming practices improved, and the winemaking took a turn towards delivering a more elegant and terroir expressive wine. These changes, which you can now taste in the glass, were influenced by Adam’s countless visits and technical seminars in Bordeaux, plus his internships/mentorship with Jim Law from Linden Vineyards and Josh Grainer from Lost Mountain (RdV). These experiences have helped shape the winegrowing philosophy of Catoctin Breeze.
The event is limited to only 20 people. Tickets to the tasting are $75/per person and we will have light charcuterie available. Each member is limited to two tickets.
