Join us on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 at Brick Store Pub in Decatur for a five-course feast inspired by Hawai'i with chef Kiki Aranita. This meal is designed to bring a taste of Hawai'i's culture to you here in Atlanta.
Chef Aranita, an islander who now lives in Philadelphia, will serve food made in-house exclusively for Poi Dog ATL. The menu demonstrates Kiki's unique take on some of Hawai'i's classics as well as on popular local dishes representative of Hawai'i's rich and diverse culinary scene. This food is the end result of a state populated by Chinese, Japanese, & Filipino immigrants (amongst many others). We hope it provides you with an edible introduction to these wonderful traditions.
**We will donate a portion of the proceeds to Atlanta-based charity Giving Kitchen, which provides emergency assistance to food service workers.**

ABOUT THE CHEF
Kiki Aranita spent seven years as co-chef and owner of Poi Dog, a Philadelphia-based restaurant and catering company that served Hawaii’s local food. The restaurant lives on through the sale of retail sauces and intimate popups. She continues to celebrate underrepresented cuisines of multicultural origins and often does that by participating in charitable events both in Philadelphia and around the United States.
Kiki is a regular contributor to the Philadelphia Inquirer’s food section and has written food features and other narratives for Food and Wine, Serious Eats, Edible Philly, Roads and Kingdoms, and the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. Her recipes are also included in a bevy of other print and digital publications.
Perhaps most notably, Kiki penned a SPAM Musu-birthday cake recipe for Munchies, a well-known Vice property. To say the post went viral would be an understatement. In addition, a regular contributor to USA Today’s Reviewed food section.
