This is our first wine dinner and we could not be more excited that it is with Robert Brittan. It is also an exclusive, as Robert is solely coming to town for this. He's bringing a wonderful lineup of estate wines for us to pair with six delicious courses.
A physics and philosophy major turned winemaker, Robert has made wines for notable producers such as Far Niente, Saint Andrews, and Stags’ Leap. After 16 years as Winemaker and Estate Manager for Stags’ Leap, he left to fulfill his dream of making cooler climate wines in unique sites, purchasing 128 acres in Willamette Valley, OR, with his wife, Ellen.
As winemaker for Brittan and a consultant for other OR wineries, Robert has been integral to defining the style of wine being produced in the region and in helping it to gain worldwide recognition. He's also a gifted storyteller, and he and Eric have known each other for almost 20 years. The conversation between the food and wine, as well as at the table, should therefore be memorable.
