Lumache is a 16 seat Italian restaurant in downtown Victoria that showcases the best ingredients and artisanal products we can find on Vancouver Island, through the lens of traditional Italian cooking.

We specialize in handmade pasta, a thoughtfully curated wine list and traditional northern Italian cuisine. Lumache is the Italian word for Snails. The name reflects our commitment to artisanship and slow food practices.

Thanks for connecting with us regarding a potential reservation! Our reservations book up very quickly (within 5 minutes of being released) so that if there is not a reservation coming up then that day is currently sold out! We release the reservations on the first of the month at Noon (12:00pm) for the following month (June 1st for July, etc.) For days that are already booked up, you can sign up for the 'Notify' list, guests on this list will be offered any cancellations first. When you are on the booking page,if you then click the "book now" button a line will come up that says "Lumache has sold out all reservations for __ guests on *whatever date*. Try another party size or Notify." If you click the Notify, you can select multiple dates you would like to sign up for, We often get a few cancellations a day so this is the best bet! You will be contacted in the order that you signed up, so the sooner you sign up the better! If you have other questions the best way to contact us is through email at hello@lumache.ca!
