Join Sepia wine director Alex Ring and AJ Augustine of Martine's wines for a special dinner featuring rare gems from Burgundy. You'll be guided through lesser known regions and tiny villages, as you discover wines that sing of the unique terroirs on which they're grown.
Martine's began as a small, woman-led import company in California in the 1970s, and has upheld their reputation for championing small production, family led wine estates across France. Today, they import a small but mighty group of French winemakers, who represent centuries of tradition and cutting edge technique.
Chefs Andrew Zimmerman and Kyle Cottle, along with Pastry Chef Erin Kobler, will prepare a five-course meal, featuring modern takes on French classics and the best the fall season has to offer:
Hors d'oeuvres
Steak Tartare, caramelized union, gruyère, caraway
Crispy Skin Kanpachi, Mussel Escabeche, coconut, cilantro
Roasted Foie Gras, pho consommé, honey crisp apple, radish
Grilled short rib, matsutake mushroom, sweet potato, brown butter jus
Chef's selection of cheese and seasonal accoutrements
Featured wines include:
2021 Monthelie-Douhairet Monthelie Blanc 'Miss Armand'
