Bordeaux’s First Growths (Premiers Crus Classés) are the five red-wine estates at the top of the 1855 Médoc classification. Four were ranked there from the start; Mouton Rothschild was promoted in 1973.Château Lafite Rothschild — Pauillac; often prized for elegance, finesse, and longevity. Château Latour — Pauillac; known for power, structure, and exceptional aging potential. Château Margaux — Margaux; celebrated for perfume, silky texture, and refinement. Château Haut-Brion — Pessac-Léognan; the only red First Growth outside the Médoc, often noted for its earthy, smoky complexity.
Château Mouton Rothschild — Pauillac; typically rich and expressive, and famous for its artist-designed labels. Join us we taste examples of all five. Of course I will pour 8 Paso Robles wines to compare. Wines will be paired with a 6 course tasting menu.
