Ggoma Supper Club featuring Chef Marcelle Afram of Shababi Chicken

We are thrilled to partner with beloved DC Chef, Marcelle Afram, for our May Supper Club. Beverage pairings for the evening will be curated by DC resident, Caroline Bello, owner/founder of No Rules Distributors - a woman owned distributor of “socially responsible, boutique wine & craft beers from around the world”.
Supper will be held at JBGB restaurant on May 15th, and will begin promptly at 6:45. Guests are encouraged to arrive at 6:35 to ensure best possible experience.
'Marcelle Afram (they/he), Arab-Assyrian Chef and Owner of Shababi in Washington DC, draws on their West Asian roots to celebrate the food of their ancestors and pay homage to Palestinian inspired cuisine. Afram has received critical acclaim for their focus on West Asian cuisine - receiving a Michelin star in 2020, being named one of Washington City Paper’s people of the year for 2021, a RAMMY Rising Culinary Star Finalist in 2023, as well as being a panel speaker at this years SXSW.'
