The 1900 Building launches our new Literary Series with two events on March 7, 2025! Throughout each year we will bring great literary voices to a wide audience with events that welcome a range of art forms to uplift the written word. The theme for 2025 is The Poetry of Place: Where we are and why it matters.
The first event is a Bookluck Lunch. This two-course, prix fixe meal (includes a beverage of either iced tea, coffee or soda) will take place at The Restaurant at 1900 and highlight the culinary expression of place. Chef Linda Duerr and Pastry Chef Rose Kenneally will create a menu focused on places they have lived.
This is an opportunity to learn about different voices and publications that express the meaning of place. Guests are invited to display their favorite book about a sense of place to share with others at a “book buffet.” Our guest authors, Denise Low, Greg Field and Stanley Banks will read from books they have chosen to bring.
Seating is limited for this special lunch. Due to the nature of this event, food allergies or restrictions may not be accommodated; please call before booking if you have any dietary concerns. Thank you.
