A Mimic is a monstrous ambush predator which disguises itself as a useful item (classically: a treasure chest), then waits for some suitable prey to lean in for a closer look. Many an unwary adventurer has met their demise in the gullet of one of these polymorphic dungeon pests!!
Well here at the Tiny Minotaur Tavern, we think that sort of thing is neat! So we’re throwing a costume party in their honor.
- FOOL us with your best approximation of an everyday object!
- THRILL us with some tentacles and teeth!
- CONFUSE us with something somewhere in between!
Feel free to take inspiration from other varieties of shapeshifter as well! All we ask: If you eat any of your fellow taverngoers just make sure they’ve paid for their drinks first.
