Have you always wanted to learn how to blind taste wine? Pick something up, look at it, smell it, taste it and, within a few minutes, be able to figure out what it is, where it came from and when it was made? Believe it or not, it’s not the most complicated thing in the world, but it does take a ton of practice! Do I get them all right? Absolutely not! But like anything else, if you put in some time and know a few very helpful pieces of information, you can make a reasonable go at it. Join me next week to get the hang of it where we’ll most certainly ask the question, “is this just a fun party trick, or does it have some deeper purpose?
Wine in the Backyard is an hour long experience at $85 per guest for groups of 4-6 people and is held in the backyard of Beckon. Class will begin promptly at 6:30pm, an on-time arrival is appreciated. Each attendee will receive a stunning Sophienwald wineglass and notes from Zach's discussion. Dinner can be pre-ordered from an a la carte menu served after the tasting has ended. The cool of the evening is well underway by the start of class but sun hats, sunglasses and flat shoes are suggested for the outdoor setting.
