Nick brings domain expertise and 20+ years of founders level entrepreneurial experiences across several industries. Nick spent a decade as a founding partner in a proprietary derivatives trading firm specializing in equity, currency, and yield-curve options and futures. Pricing and market discovery is in his DNA. He began investing in internet start-ups in 1996. Nick Co-Owns the Alinea Group which he co-founded in 2004. 5 Restaurants, 350+ employees, 4 Michelin Stars. 12 James Beard Awards. 2 Award winning books. Awards: Alinea: 5 times named Best Restaurant in the US. Next: Best New Restaurant in the US 2012. The Aviary: Best Bar in the US. And lots more.
Steve studied business administration and art history at The University of Michigan. After graduating in 2006, he moved to Chicago to join Bain & Company as a management consultant. While at Bain, he took advantage of the externship program to work for Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group in New York City. At USHG, he fell in love with the hospitality business. In 2009, he joined The Alinea Group as its first business team member. Since then, Steve has built The Alinea Group’s business team to 16 members. He is now a partner in The Alinea Group and serves as the CFO for both The Alinea Group and Tock.
Prior to becoming the Chief Operating Officer at Tock, Jeff spent 15 years as CEO of two highly profitable data analytics SaaS companies, where he successfully built and led the teams responsible for sales, marketing, and account management. After spending the early part of his career with GE Capital and Audience Science, Jeff went on to become the Chief Strategy Officer of ZirMed, Chief Executive Officer of MethodCare, and President of Apollo Data Technologies.
As the Chief Marketing Officer at Tock, Bryan brings extensive marketing and innovation experience and a passion for modern brand building from decades in key leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies. Recognized as a contemporary marketer and strategic thought leader with a proven 20+ year record of profitably growing businesses, Bryan thrives in fast-paced environments that require strategic agility, resourceful problem-solving and highly adaptive leadership. As the CMO, Bryan is responsible for all aspects of B2C and B2B marketing strategies and tactics, including digital and social media, brand communications, content development, public relations and developing strategic partnerships.
Prior to joining Tock, Clare spent nearly 15 years partnering with business leaders and employees to effectively support rapid business growth in the healthcare and technology sectors. During her time at ZirMed and Accretive Health, Clare demonstrated leadership throughout the business life cycle, including M&A and an IPO. Her passion is identifying and developing talent to build and empower teams that outperform competitors in a fast-paced startup environment.
Born in the late Cretaceous period of the late-early Internet, Otee once roamed the hospitality hills and valleys uncontested. The bigger they come, the harder they fall. Otee now stands proudly in the Tock offices, a reminder that we are all one asteroid away from extinction.
